Telepsychology
Dr. Brownstein is authorized to provide telepsychology services to people in 37 states and Washington D.C. Psychologists (and other licensed therapists) are generally limited to providing mental health services within the jurisdictions where they are licensed. In an effort to reduce regulatory barriers and increase access to mental health care, an interstate compact called PSYPACT was formed.
Dr. Brownstein was granted an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission and is eligible to provide interjurisdictional services under the authority of PSYPACT.
