
David Brownstein, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist with experience providing assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. He received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on child clinical services and his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. He received his Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from the Rabbinical College of America, and rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Yitzchak Y. Yaroslavsky, Chief Rabbi of the Chabad Rabbinical Council in Israel.
Prior to entering the field of psychology, Dr. Brownstein taught a range of Judaic and secular subjects at Bais Menachem - Youth Development Program in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Through his training and professional experiences as a psychologist, Dr. Brownstein has worked in settings across the continuum of care including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, a partial hospitalization program, adolescent and adult day treatment programs, and outpatient clinics. He is a generalist trained to treat the spectrum of psychological disorders, and has received specialized training in the treatment of individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Dr. Brownstein and his family live in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he holds the position of Psychology Program Manager at Healthy Minds, serves as Clinical Adjunct Faculty for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioal Services at the UNLV School of Medicine and maintains a part time private practice.
