Group Therapy for Healthcare Workers
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected so many of us in unimaginably profound ways. Our healthcare workers are on the front lines of this crisis as they continue to ensure those in need are served. However, this is not without cost. Whether it's working with infected patients, being separated from family to minimize the spread, or going to work every day knowing there is a risk of contracting the virus, our healthcare workers are burdened with the distress that comes from long shifts, potentially hazardous work environments, and/or seeing the horrors of the havoc wreaked by this virus.
To support our valuable healthcare workers, Dr. Brownstein is offering a weekly therapy group geared toward healthcare workers who are struggling emotionally because of this pandemic. The group will provide support, skills, and information to help participants improve the many aspects of life affected by working in heathcare during this pandemic. The group will focus on improving quality of life by better managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and grief/loss.
Group therapy for healthcare workers is an open-ended group that meets Monday evenings at 6:30 pm Pacific time (subject to change based on participants' schedules) via video conference. This group is offered at a 40% discounted rate of $30 per session for eligible healthcare workers. If you are unable to pay this fee and feel you would benefit by attending this group, please contact me directly to make an alternate arrangement. It's my goal to offer this group to our valuable healthcare workers regardless of ability to pay.
To join this group or for more information please email me via the form on the contact page.
